Chantelle LaFitte has a broad criminal litigation practice, acting for both individuals charged with criminal offences and victims of crime. Her experience in criminal law is extensive, having represented clients charged with offences ranging from minor thefts and assault charges, to more serious offences such as drug importing and first-degree murder cases.
Chantelle was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014 after articling with Robichaud’s. She completed her law degree at Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law, where she received a Schulich Scholarship in Law, and was an active member of the law school community. As a law student, Chantelle summered with the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, a legal and counselling clinic for women who have been victims of domestic violence.
Prior to attending law school, Chantelle completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she graduated with First Class Honours.
